Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at 7Thumbs. We want you and your furry friends to be completely happy with your purchase. If you're not satisfied, we're here to help.


1. 30-Day Return Policy

You have 30 calendar days from the date you received your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it
  • Item must be in original packaging
  • You must have proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
  • Collars, leashes, and harnesses must be unworn and free of pet hair
  • Pet beds and soft items must be unwashed and free of stains or pet hair

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Personalized or custom-made accessories (collars with name tags, custom embroidery)
  • Final sale or clearance items
  • Gift cards
  • Opened toys for hygiene reasons (unless defective)
  • Items with pet hair, damage from chewing, or normal wear and tear

3. Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item:

  1. We will inspect the item within 2-3 business days
  2. We will notify you via email about the status of your refund
  3. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method
  4. Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)

Note: Original shipping costs are non-refundable.


4. Exchanges

Want to exchange for a different size or color? Here's how:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order
  • Return the original item (must be unused and in original packaging)
  • You pay return shipping for the exchange
  • We ship the new item free of charge

For size exchanges (collars, harnesses, apparel), please measure your pet carefully before requesting. Size charts are available on each product page.


5. Damaged or Defective Items

We take quality seriously. If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Send photos of the damage/defect to [your-email@7thumbs.com]
  • Include your order number in the email
  • We will provide a prepaid return shipping label
  • You can choose a replacement or full refund (including original shipping)

Examples of defects: Broken buckles, torn seams, manufacturing flaws, wrong item sent.


6. Wrong Size or Wrong Item

If we made a mistake:

  • We shipped the wrong item? We'll fix it immediately at no cost to you
  • Item doesn't fit your pet? Follow our standard return process above
  • Not sure about sizing? Email us before returning – we're happy to help!

7. How to Start a Return

To initiate a return or exchange:

Option 1: Email us at [your-email@7thumbs.com] with:
- Your order number
- Item(s) you want to return
- Reason for return
- Photos (if damaged or defective)

Option 2: Log into your account and visit "Order History" to start a return

We will provide the return shipping address and instructions within 24-48 hours.


8. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customer's fault (changed mind, wrong size ordered): You pay return shipping
  • Our fault (damaged, defective, wrong item): We provide a free shipping label
  • Exchanges: You pay return shipping, we pay shipping for the new item

We recommend using a trackable shipping service for returns. We are not responsible for lost return packages.


9. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund:

  • First, check your bank account again
  • Contact your credit card company – it may take a few business days to post
  • Contact your bank – there may be processing time before the refund appears
  • If you've done all this and still haven't received your refund, email us at [your-email@7thumbs.com]

10. Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased:

  • You'll receive a gift credit for the value of the return
  • We'll send you a gift card code via email
  • If the item wasn't marked as a gift, refunds go to the original purchaser

11. Holiday Returns

Purchases made between November 1st and December 24th can be returned until January 15th of the following year. Perfect for holiday gifts!
